So I finally talked myself into removing the wing. Love the original look now, but need to find the best matrial to fix the holes. The car is a low mileage one in perfect condition and want to keep it that way. The rear cap will be removed, fixed, painted and re installed. My brother in law has his own shop and does great work, but I would like to hear all comments before proceeding to make me feel better about this job.

You'd be better off looking for a salvage bumper. Maybe even the same color?
FWIW, that why I ended up INSTALLING a wing on mine. I wanted the antenna gone and the filler still showed the hole. That was learned AFTER spending $4k for a paint job.
I wasn't going to risk a second "repair", seeing the the panel reshoot would match, and hoping it wouldn't "come back".
Get a salvage bumper or live with it.
(Caviat: If you really, really, really want to try it, bumper repair shops could tackle it. Even most chrome bumper shops work with the plastic stuff now. If they didn't, they be out of business.)
When I had my bumper repaired a while back I sent it out to Keystone a local company that supplies refurb bumper to auto body shops.. It was returned straight and in water based primer..
I have a friend who owns a body shop and I believe he uses a two part system specific for urethane bumpers... But technique plays a big part..
