Default power antenna

what is the best product to keep antenna cleaned and lubricated? i have always used a silicone spray but happened to look today in the owners manual and it said to use mineral spirits???

Your not supposed to "lubricate" the antenna.
The manual says to use mineral spirits to clean it.

Mineral spirits will keep it clean and free of any gummy deposits.
Lubricating the antenna will just cause it to get gummed up.
Then you will be starting a thread on how to fix an antenna mast that no longer goes up/down.

When I wash my car I turn on the ignition to raise and lower the windows for cleaning. Since the antenna also happens to be raised at that time, I use a paper towel saturated with window cleaner to clean the antenna. The main thing is to keep it clean so it won't hang up and break the nylon cord inside.

I use 3&1 oil; wipe it on and then buff it off. If any residue it is mimimal, IMO.
