I just checked w/ Summit this morning - needing a dipstick and tube for an 81 Vette I'm working on for a friend. There were 103 to choose from, ranging from $8 to $56, depending whether it was stock or fancy SS with braided SS on the side of the tube. I'm guessing you can find something that works there (at Summit). Otherwise, Jason at Vette2Vette specializes in the C4 parts. Tell 'im I sent ya!
Guess I'll just measure mine and find something that fits. The plastic handle was cracked on the side you dont see until today at tech for autox when I saw the bottom half missing. The good news is that my oil leak has been coming from there and all this time I thought it was the rear seal. Thank's I'll check summit and contact Jason.
Well Kim, I thought I would search around , be a hero, and find a dipstick for you, but I'll be damned if I can find one either...Sorry......I did find one on ebay but they wanted $45.00 for the dipstick and it included the tube............WW
The 383 Pete K built me is from a 4 bolt block "truck engine"......WW
I have to agree with Kim, why wouldn't all LT1 Corvette engines have the same dip stick and tube, there all the same engine, set up the same way.. It doesn't make sense for them to be different..
I think everyone with a Lt1 should get together and compare how long there dipsticks are.........Damn , that sounded strange even to me......WW
