Default My New C4

Just joined today after stalking the forums for the last few months! I puchased my 1st Corvette about 2 months ago: Fully stock 1986 C4, red w/red interior, 53,000 miles, Z51 and 307's (at least from the codes under the console).

Spent a weekend cleaning her up and making her look at least presentable. Still have a way to go, but can't wait. Torn on replacing the wheels since I kind of like the stock ones, but wouldn't mind it being a little more modern as well. I was thinking some C5 Z06 wheels if I can find them for the right price and there are no issues with fit. Other than that, I have been driving myself crazy on what exhaust set up to go with, but might just keep it simple for the time being and save the money I would spend on the expensive systems out there. I checked her out as much as I could myself, but I will be taking it in to Corvette Paramedics in South Jersey just for more peace of mind.

As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will put a few up on here! Thanks in advance to everyone's knowledge.

Updated with a few interior shots. Under the hood is not ready for pictures yet.

Wow! Really nice car. Curious about what you had to give for it. I just bought my '89 a couple months ago. Only paid $3,500, but, admittedly, it's going to be a project car. It's now "Bright Red, but when the bodywork is done, I plan to repaint it "torch red"

Nope, original paint. I looked at a few with new paint, but was worried with the quality of the paint jobs (of course no one had receipts). I've heard of and seen too many poor quality paint jobs going bad quick. This was just a lot of hours of wash, clay, compound, polish, and wax. It doesn't look quite as good up close and in person, but definitely not bad for 26yr old paint.

Congratulations on the 86 she looks great

Now quit polishing her and go for a good long drive

That smile you have just doesn't go away
Had my 85 for around 14 years, just pressing the load pedal makes me smile

Very nice vette! Of course I'm partial to the color combo! I'm looking at new wheels too, but leaning more toward chrome ZR1's, like these.
