I have a 1991 vert I purchased needing work and It's not starting and everything appears to be ok.But with the key forward I get nothing when trying to start it.I was told it was the alarm but I don't have the keypad.Anyone know to to disarm it?Also how can I get the engine specs and package it has off the vin or whatever? Thanks

It's probably a Vats problem, you can bypass it with a readily available fix, I'm sure someone will chime in. 91's never had a key fob.
As yours is a Vert the only engine they had was the L98 it was the last year of this engine. It's a 350 aluminum head iron block with 245hp and 345 ft lb. Under the console door should be a sticker with three digit RPO codes that represent all the equipment that came on that car out of the factory.
