Default C4 Shifting

Greetings to all members, I just finished towing my C4 on a car dolly which required me to remove the drive train, when I reconnected the drive train and bracket, my manual shifter is out of sequence, reverse is not where it was before, and I cant find the 1st gear. Any suggestions on how I can correct this?

Did you remove the cbeam or just the driveshaft. If you removed the cbeam and the shifter was still in place, you might have bent the shift rods or tweaked the shifter since the tranny would have been hanging down. If you had a 4+3 this could happen. Not sure about the ZFs.

Yes, I removed both the driveshaft and cbeam, and I do have the 4+3, I will inspect the shift rods to see if they are bent as the tranny was hanging during the tow.

A motor and tranny is a lot to hang off a pair of motor mounts. If you think about it, the mounts are near the middle-front of the motor. You've got a 150lb tranny, a 30lb converter plus 12 quarts of fluids hanging off the back of the motor. Hopefully nothing else is tweaked. Good luck.
