Have had this car 4 years...put maybe 200 miles on it. Wife won't drive it because the instrument cluster and driver info won't light up...never did. Replaced the speedo cluster, still nothing. Bought a 3rd unit from a member here that was working when he contacted me, never worked in mine. I'm a big...OK, fat...guy and can't get into the dash very far. I understand the problem is a ground. Many have told me to solder a wire to the ground strip of the printed circuit...but I want it fixed correctly. Anyone have a PICTURE of where all the ground wires track to? Do I need to remove the complete dash? Thanks in advance.

Is the panel working, just not lighting up? If all three have the same problem, I would suspect your problem lies elseware.
check fuses.
Then:
remove the dash cluster again, and when you get to the connectors, you need to check for a ground on plug B1. D1 is also a ground.
Any red, pink, or orange is switched or non switched battery volts.
use your meter.
For instance,
the red wires usually mean that a fusible link is in line with the battery, and it is hot all the time, for instance, head lights.
Pink wires usually indicate that the wires are turned on by the ignition switch, but may be controlled by something.
Orange wires usually mean that the wires are turned on by the ignition switch, but are controlled by a switch somewhere.
Most systems are powered, and are looking for a ground so that if there is a short out from the main place power comes in, it will not drain the battery, just that the appliance will be running.......like for instance your courtesy lights stay on all the time.
For your dash not to work, it could be something as simple as the headlight switch dim circuit is bad, a ground wire corroded, or a fusible link is blown or there aren't any bulbs in your digital dash that work. (possible that the previous owner took them out, thinking you would know enough to check those $15 bulbs.
Ask yourself what else doesn't work, and see if there is a commonality between them.
