Default Started painting the Vette...

Here's the pictures I promised previously from when I started my Auto Refinishing class. Still more work to do... I think I should have her back home next week.
Day before

at the shop

Some existing Damage

Getting Stripped

Fixing trouble Spots

More trouble surfaces

Some of the Cool toys I get to work with.

Paint time is getting closer

Who stole my emblems?

All Taped and Masked...

In the booth.

Very Red looking when wet... and my camera doesn't like red...

Sanding... again...

A missed repair on the headlight cover... Fixing it... Will Repaint.

50% of rubbing compound done...

Since I'm doing it myself at the community college... $1,150.

$550 for the class
$600 in paint/supplies.

That doesn't include the new emblems, new front bottom plastic spoiler, front/back lettering... Etc.

Debating on putting stripes back on... Leaning toward no... Going with the clean look.

Still need to buy new weather stripping... Anyone selling or know where I can get a good deal?

Coming along nicely. You do better work than some who claim they've done it for years. Looks like you masked it correctly too.

Willcox Corvette for weatherstrip.
