Default help me please

I am new to this corvette repair thing, but yesterday I bought a scanner for my 86 because of my service light and I need to smog in Cali, I got a 34 code for my MAF sensor I took it off and looked at it cleaned it a little then once reassembled the service light is no blinking which would indicate a misfire possibly but this problem wasnt here before I touched the MAF, anyone have any idea what the problem is here?

Not sure if I should tell you this. I had similar code 33 glitch in my 86. Tried 3 new maf's, replaced relays, new ecu. Entire circuit new. 3 highly skilled technicians could not fix it, one even worked at GM. engineering the ecu. Whenever the engine stayed at 2,000 rpm. for more than a fraction of a second, Check Engine Light would come on, and run very rough. Had to pull over and disconnect battery to reset. Finally reprogrammed custom chip on Mustang Dyno (Camarillo Performance) Removed the code from chip.
