Can some one tell me about the copper corvette made in 94? How many were made? Is there a way to tell if it is an original? What is the name of the factory color? Any other information would be great, thanks...
"Copper Metallic" was put on 116 of the 94 vettes. I believe the split is about 70/30 coupes to verts but I can't remember the actual numbers of each...used to know them! I have only seen one in person.
Thanks alot for all the info! I called on a 94 vette in the paper, and when I went to look at it, it was copper :) He's askin $15,650, do think its worth that? Is this a car that I will regret not buying? Its in pretty good shape, well taken care of. Does any one know what the paint code for it? Thanks!
Copper metallic paint code is 66. You didn't mention the options, if coupe or drop top. But, the price seems it's in the ball park and better if the top goes-up-and-down.
I know from this forum and perhaps it was in a Corvette Fever article...that this color was dropped because of consistency problems.
But it all comes down to..is this the car you want, is it the right color for you and does it have the options you are looking for. If you are not sure you need to do more research and once armed with this knowledge you will know when to pull the trigger......or better put ...your wallet!
according to corvette fever july '01 issue you are correct!
i'd say it's a pretty slick color - even if it isn't stock. if the car's in good condition and you like it (and you got da cash).... i'd say that that's good enough reason to get it.
Its a drop-top, and I LOVE the black top w/ the copper, it just looks so damn good! Its an automatic, black leather interior, all power, chrome rims, 94K miles, Im going to drive it again tomorrow....I'll let y'all know what happens, Thanks!
The copper convertable with black interior would be the only color I would trade for. Nice. I saw one of all places pulling in my parking deck at work in Newark, NJ. NICE! :yesnod:
