Default exhaust question

I just bought an entirely stock 1993 convertible with 60K miles. After I get caught up on some deferred maintenance, I want to get a little more vocal exhaust. I'm concerned that the drone will impede top down highway driving (with the wife). What system will give me more throaty sound when accelerating and possibly more back off noise without highway drone? Thanks in advance for your help.

Everything I've read on the topic points to Corsa being the best choice if you are concerend about cabin drone. I'm looking to get one in the spring. Pricey, but it appears worth the money. There is a ton of information and discussions on C4 exhaust options in this forum if you look around with the search function. This group has a tremendous amount of expertise. Good luck.

I just removed the mufflers on my 95 and put on a set of muffler eliminators when I owned it... I did the same thing on my 88 that I now own...

Only real noticeable difference is a very slight increase in sound at idle...and under WOT.... under normal driving conditions there is very little difference IF ANY

Ditto on the muffler eliminators. I just did that last friday and it sounds awesome. It gives you the meaty throaty sound you want of an exhaust without breaking the bank. I know that corsa is good but at this point $1300 isn't worth it to me for sound and little to no performance increase I would rather do Long Tube headers or gears.

I also put muffler eliminators on this summer, and I really like them. They give a nice throaty sound. Eventually I want to put long tube headers on.

Corsa is great for lack of cabin drone, but beware that it has a higher pitched 'european' sound to it. Some people love it. Listen to it on youtube at full throttle and see what you think.
