Removing X-brace
I've pulled the 16 bolts at the four ends of this thing. It's not dropping off. Looks like maybe there are some bolts coming down from the inside of the car. Is that right and how do I get to them?????
I just watched mine taken off at the shop the other day. I believe there are some coming down on the back half, but all you have to do is remove the nuts from them, You do not have to get to the top of them. And then it should drop off. good luck.

Re: Removing X-brace (khornet)
There's a few studs that stick down from the storage areas behind the driver's seat. Remove the nuts holding the X-brace in place and it should drop down. The studs are fixed in place, so there's no worry about losing the bolts (or pushing them up into the storage bins).
Before dropping the X-brace, check out the routing of the lines on the driver's side, right in front of the rear wheel. The lines must be routed between the spacers - it's easy to install the entire brace, only to have to remove it again to properly position the lines (can't remember if the lines are fuel or brake).
