To quote my paisan JD, make it yours! I thought the same thing when I bought mine...first I changed the stereo...then I painted it...then changed the wheels...then the exhaust, now I'm starting under the hood :reddevil, I still have most of the stock components just in case I need them later.
It's yours do what YOU want with it :D
