605491 isn't a 3.45 "only" identifier. A 605491-3 would be an identifier for a 3.45 ratio.
Value would be dependent on miles, how long has it sat and in what kind of an environment. There could be a considerable swing in value depending upon those specifics. Assuming a person needs to do bearings, seals and a clutch pack maybe not as much as you'd like to think.
I wouldn't consider $650 for anything that has sat for a considerable period of time in a questionable environment.
OK thanks that gives me an idea. FYI it has sat indoors in my loft area at work covered & dry. Pulled it out of my car around three years ago no leaks at the time & still dry underneath where it has been stored.
