Didn't find anything when I searched for this, sorry if it has been addressed before.
My driver door on the 91' coupe goes very slow up and down, probably half the speed of the passenger side.
The window will not start to go down if the door is closed, but if I open the door it goes down. Almost like the window is jammed on the door seal. goes up and down good but slow as long as I get it down off the door seal.
I've had the car for 6 or 7 weeks now and I have started to notice scratching on the outside of the window like it is dragging on something metal.
I am going to dissassemble as soon as the ugly weather comes, but I want to get an idea what I'm looking at before I rip it apart.
It sounds like the motor is getting "tired". The scratches could be from worn/dirty felt pads that press against the window glass or dirt/birrs on the sweeps.
Of course the switch contacts could be dirty or the track needs lube, but I lean toward a weak motor.
