It wasn't. Only Callaway had the body components and IIRC, the only way to get them was to order the complete Callaway option (RPO B2K) for about $27,000.

When the car came off the assembly line, it was shipped to Callaway in Olde Lyme CT where the mods were done. The only wat to get the body pieces alone was to get them from Callaway and you had to prove the pieces were for a Callaway-optioned car. No over the counter sales to just anyone.

The seller may have found a used rear facia and installed it. Otherwise, his statement in the ad is

True, you could not just get that bumper for 4 option, but it is still a nice ZR1 anyway you slice it.

In 1991 Callaway had a ZR-1 Supernatural 475 option. I thought the aerobody was available for these cars. Of course the front of the Ebay car doesn't have the aerobody nose or sides.

Kind of looks odd without the whole package.

The price of the kit from Callaway is ridiculous.

I guess I'm reading the ad a little different than you guys. He says the bumper was a $4000 upgrade, but he doesn't say it was a factory option. If I put that bumper on my car I'd call it an upgrade also.

Either way, I think that car looks bad azz

and with paint, it was probably close to $4k

Also looks like an AeroBody Callaway in the background, and a set of Dymags on the shelf

At the time if you bought a porcelen clutch, they threw in the porcelen headers. Cool deal.

Do tell.... What's the story behind it because I am and I think everyone else is baffled by why a zr1 would only have the rear aero bumper without the rest of the kit.
