Default Outside Air Temp Sensor

I have a 1995 Coupe with 81,000 miles. I have had it a about 4 months now and love it, My First Vette. I have wanted one all my life so at 61 years old I went for it. Riding aroud and the air goes off and the heater comes on its 80 degrees so I know thats not right. The outside air temp read 25 degrees so I asume the sensor is the problem. I did a search and found a post that says it is on the right side by radiator shroud. Have looked and can't find it, any help would be great thanks pics would be good. I am a retired fork lift mechanic (35 years) so I am used to working in tight places.

It's in the air intake to the radiator. You can't see it from inside the engine compartment, you have to get down low and look under the front bumper into the air intake for the radiator and condensor. It will be mounted on the passenger side, inside a black plastic box about 1" square with holes to allow airflow.

The temp you select is controlled by the HVAC head unit which IIRC has a sensor inside the car and makes temp changes based on that ;
not the temp outside

The outside air temp read 25 degrees .
25 degree Celsius = 77 degree Fahrenheit
