Its time to give my car a good detail, Sometimes in the sun you can see wax rub marks. My paint is in perfect shape, It may need a rub out then a good wax. Is that something I can do or should I just bite the bullet and pay someone. I would rather do it myself.
What should I use?
Give it a good wash with soap and water. Dry with a micro fiber towel. Use a clay bar on the car, then go over it with a random orbital buffer and a series of polishes, from coarser to finer, using foam pads. Then a good wax or sealant. I use Griot's Garage products and an very happy with them. Others use Adams, Mothers, Zaino, etc. There is a car care section of the forum. You might try reading there.
