The YEAR makes a HUGE difference.
Do you have the manual (C60) or automatic (C68) HVAC?
Is it manual or automatic transmission?
Any aftermarket electronic stuff, like alarm or radio? (I have a GM keyless entry system)
Any other non-stock things on the car, like from different years? (I have an '89 700r4 in my '86)
This is a general hint to everybody: You should put relevant information like this in your post, not hidden away in your profile so we have to do a research project just to find out what you're driving.

I have a 1985 corvette base, everything is stock and it is a automatic 700R4 trans.
it's the optional flux capacitor plug?
All joking aside it could be a plug for an option your car did not come with or for an old aftermarket alarm someone put in. A picture is worth a thousand words.
