Default Heater core plug

I have a coolant leak on the engine, about even with the back side of the right front wheel. Someone told me it was my heater core plug. Is this the what my problem is? If so how do you replace it or where in the Dallas area is there someone who can replace or repair?

Since you didn't state the year, we have no idea what your configuration is.

Could be the knock sensor. Could be a freeze plug in the block. Could be the steam tube. Could be the heater core bypass valve. Depending on your year, you might not have some of these items.

Need to get under the car and identify where the coolant is coming from ;
the block , heater hose or other place before we can advise on the repair

Once again need to know the year. Heater control valves are located in that area and are proned to leak. Easy fix if thats it.
