So my headlights have done that thing were they run maybe 5 seconds after opening/closing for a while now. I always thought that was odd, but never had flip up headlights and overlooked the obvious. Now I have searched the forums and found out about the bushings inside and the possible gear swap. But recently, the passenger side got stuck. If I am not mistaken, it will open, but only closes half way without assistance. If I give it a little nudge, it will finish closing. Does this sound like I am just over due to replace those bushings in the motor or am I into another problem? And what does it get stuck on?

Thanks!!

and fyi, here is a greatly detailed video on how to change out the bushings. I found it in a sticky...I think that what yall call it...

Definitely bushings, and maybe a gear. Not a big deal.

Here's a thread that describes the bushings issue, too:

Mine did the same thing and I helped them along for awhile until they stopped working all together. Have fun with the project, its much cheaper than a trip to the garage.

One issue with the passenger side is the overflow tubing to the coolant reservoir. Check and make sure that it is fastened securely in place. A blemish in the paint is a good sign of this happening. It did it on my 92.
