I got a set of Altec molded mudflaps and had them painted. I put one on and don't know if I like it or not. Since the tire is so big the flaps look too small. What do you think? I'm leaning to no I dn't like them with the fender flares. Looks like too much plastic back there.
I had the Altec's on mine. I did'nt like the looks at first, so I kept them on for a few days...started looking worse to me. I have been mudflap free ever since. Now I'm thinking about going with the Cleartastic.

Re: Mudflaps on the GS? (RichS)
I have a set of mud flaps for my 89 and I had someone hold them up the car and I was not sure if I wanted them or not. They will keep a lot of rubber off the car from the track. I did not install them yet. I am waiting to see someone with them on to see if I like them. The mud flaps on your Vette don't look bad since they are painted to match the car. I would keep them. :D
Rich, I'm sure you've seen mine. I have the same ones. I'm told that you are supposed to put a screw thru one of teh drain holes to keep the guard from moving.
My paint is already damaged so I'm leaving mine on.
On the '93 I got the Mid America Mud Flaps. Since I don't show the car I don't worry about what they look like, but they are just a flat flap.
I like the look better w/o the flaps, but I do have similar ones on mine that are black (unpainted). They were on the car when I got it and I don't mind them. Being black, they blend in and you hardly notice them and they definitely provide protection for the paint.
