Default !986 Injector Replacement Question.

I am posting this for a friend that is looking at replacing the injectors on an 1986 L-98 Z-51 car. When looking at the various brands, there are numerous injector options from 24 lbs to 80 lbs. The car is stock with just a chip and exhaust. Can anyone tell me what the best injector is for his application and what would be the best poundage for a stock non modded L98?. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone here recommended FIC. I did a lot of reading both here and a Camaro forum and the vast majority of guys said these are the best. My 93 uses 24 LB on stock motor but I'm not sure about the L98. I know someone that knows will be along to say for sure.

86 runs 22# injectors, but it wouldn't hurt 1 bit to kick up to the 24#.

FIC 100%. If you go anywhere else, good luck.

If you change the injector flow rate without adjusting the corresponding flow constant in the EPROM it will affect how the car runs in open loop mode (it will be too rich).

If you go too high with injector flow rate the ECM will lose control and the car won't idle correctly (rich).
