tossed my fx3, got some z51 bilsteins.... and drove happily ever after, i suppose you are sick of your "adjustables"
I did likewise but on my '92.
Bought the new Bilsteins from Lingenfelter, best pricing by far.
You pull the electrical plugs on the control module located behind the driver's seat in the floor compartment. And you disconnect and tie off the actuator plugs at each shock while removing and storing the pigtail for each.
BTW, you best check on that "send them to be rebuilt" because it is not a cheap date to rebuild the actuators and the replacement shocks for FX3 are quite pricy.
not part of the ecm codes, my car had the box behind the driver's seat compartment and took it out and sold everything and paid for the new shocks, the "light" goes away without the brain
1996 Corvettes have F45 - Selective Real Time Damping System.
Bilstein cannot rebuild these shocks.
Delphi designed and built these. They are no longer available except for one here or there.
You can put on any Corvette regular shock. HD or otherwise.
The easiest fix for the light is removing the bulb.
Apparently, folks here cannot read "1996" in the posting. That is F45 folks. NOT Bilstien at all. Although, a set of non-adjustable Bilstiens would be a good option for getting rid of the F45.
