Self-Aligning Roller Rocker @ 1.6 ratio
Yes, this has been asked in one form or another a 100 times or more and I have spent hours reading through them. It seems most of the responses center around the full roller rockers and valve cover issues.
I have a question about the following ones:
Competition Cams 1418-16 Magnum Self-Aligning Roller 1.6 ratio, 3/8" Stud Diameter Rocker Arm for Small Block Chevy
My Motor is a 96 LT1, stock with auto.
If you use these or have used them, please comment. Thanks.
Since these are only roller tip rockers, would they be basically the same as the stock LT1 rockers as far as adjustment goes. I guess what I’m asking is if these are the type that do not need adjustment? Just tighten the nuts down to the stop on the stud and your good to go? (Like the rockers on the 2000 Chevy S10 2.2 which is a roller tips but nonadjustable).
If this is so, then there would be no need to modify the valve cover since the stock rocker is 1:5 and these are only 1:6 or would the covers still need to be modified?
Thanks for reading.
