How close do the rear tires come to the suspension arms in the rear with 50mm GS type wheels?
Compared to 9.5/56 and 275 tire an 11/50 and 315 tire is placed something greater than 1/2" but less than 3/4" more inboard. Lot's of clearance inboard. I've never heard an issue with inboard clearance.
My car is a 1996. Yesterday I test fit my 11 x 17, 50 MM offset, 7.9 inch back spacing, ZR-1 reproduction wheel with a 315 tire mounted, and could run my fingers between the wheel and aft suspension components, hydraulic brake line and parking brake cable with no problems.
If you want more wheel info, shoot me an IM.

I was thinking about doing the 50mm offsets then the big doggie mod which takes off another 1/2" so that might be good.
I am considering having custom arms made to give me more clearance.
