In order to "upload" a photo to a thread, you need to be a supporting (paying) member.
So, with your current account you won't be able to upload a photo even if you were using a full featured computer.
However, you can post photos to threads by having your photos "hosted" on another server somewhere.
Then you use "IMG" tags to display the photo here.

I use photobucket to post my pictures, pretty easy to use!
Once you upload a photo to photobucket, you click on the IMG code, then it will say "copied", then you just come back to the thread you want to post them too and select the Insert Image icon and paste your link. I always remove the http://
