Feeling better about putting the car away now. The day I get ready to put the 89 away for the winter I get stranded.The car would idle ok but when you put it in gear it would die immediately. You could then start it right up and have great idle again. Push the gas and it would choke out. Ran the codes with the paper clip method and got a code 33. This points to a problem with the MAF.Started with the least expensive solution, 2 relays.Replaced both relays burn off and the other one.The car seemed to idle even better but still would cut out under load. Then replaced the maf sensor. Happy days are here again. Hooked it up to the battery charger and can look forward to getting it out when the weather cooperates.The mighty paperclip.I love it when a plan comes together.
