Hey guys. I haven't driven my '93 in 1 week. The temps here are 39. I let the car warm up to 130 and oil was at 80 degrees. On my way to my cousin's, I hit the pedal and it felt like always (fast). After that it was at 2000 rpm, doing 20 mph. It takes a lot of gas to past 20 or 25 mph. Any ideas on what's going on the tranny?
It's an automatic.
Edit- It moves in drive and reverse.

It could be time for a drain and fill with a new filter. DON'T do a flush and fill, It can break nasty stuff loose and cause other things to start going bad. Flush and fill is one of the big time killers of high mileage autos (70k+)
Not sure what is wrong with the tranny. Check the fluid level for starters. You might want to heat up the motor oil another 50 degrees or so before really hitting the go pedal. 80 degrees isn't warm enough for the oil to flow and throughly lubricate as designed.
I would think you may have a problem. I drive my 1992 automatic here in Washington State in the winter with the temps around 20 degrees. I start the car and drive it with no problems and no warmup.

I might. Yesterday, I let it warm up for not too long. Checked the fluid at night, couldn't see that good. So it looked like the fluid was low, checked this morning and it was fine. No burnt smell either.

No problems on my 92 automatic with morning temps in the low 30s and only a couple minutes of warm up. It could have just had a bug that morning.
