What year did the a/c freon change from R-12 to R-134 in the Vettes? If low
on freon, does the system need to be evacuated before recharging? Where is the low pressure valve for refilling located? Is it worth doing myself, or should I head off to a mechanic? HELP! :( :cry :crazy:
R134a is in all automobiles manufactured after 1994, some during 1993. It should tell you on the compressor what you have. There is only one size low pressure valve on all cars. You can buy a kit at a parts store. My only thought would be, its supposed to be a closed system, where did the coolent go?
