Drunk driver in C4
This is right around the corner from me. I'm a new C5 owner and I'm glad mine wasn't hit.

I have no use at all for drunk drivers. Lock them up for a year or two on their very FIRST OFFENSE with no questions asked, and that might do the trick. No excuse to drive drunk from anyone. Too many times they're just slapped on the wrist and let go. A year in jail with Bubba and they'll learn their lesson.

The owner of the Corvette is not helping matters by not pressing charges. And that is the case, that person perhaps should be sued by the other vehicle owners for enabling the drunk to commit her stupidity.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. As far as I know, a private person cannot press charges. They can only assist in prosecution, it's up to the cty attny to press charges. She was sentenced to 2 years jail with one suspended in July '12, and she's out on the street? Again, like most things, we don't need more laws, just enforcement of existing ones.
. Any C4 owner that is so stupid to let a drunk moron drive his car shouldn't be allowed to EVER own a Corvette.

Obviously, you've never had any dealings with drunk drivers. I pray you don't, but if you do, I'll bet you look at this situation a bit differently. As far as a life sentence? Why not? She's headed that way any how on her own stupidity.

i arrested a guy last summer for his 13th DUI! what did he get out of it? 3 years in prison. not enough time in my opinion. people don't learn until they kill themselves.
