I did on my 84. Actually VERY simple.
Pull the top off the car.
Flip it on to its to.
Screws hold the plastic edge/seal
Liner is glued to a piece of plastic mine was just Velcro in. Pop it off and peal it off(carefully you need it for a pattern). New head liner material can be found at most fabric stores. Get what ya need and some glue (again at the fabric store). Reassemble and your done. 15 min fix.
