Is there a reliable after market tire pressure sensor system available? I see some advertised using a sensor/transmitter mounted in the air valve. Are these a reliable alternative to the Corvette LTPW sensors that are becoming extinct?

There's several after-market devices out there that use the technology that is used presently in production vehicles. Some actually display pressure and temperature by wheel location. I'm not familiar with any of the "branding" personally but you could start by checking out a package offered by "Orange Electronics". It seems that Orange now has maybe an iPhone app!!!
The least expensive Orange product is a 409S system I believe.
I took a look at the Orange Electronic LTPWS. It looks good and has good reviews. This might be the way to go. I can't find any info on using an iPhone app although it has it's own monitor. When I do my wheel/tire upgrade I'll go this route.
