One of the thing you said was your oil gauge would move from midway to 80 psi, you might want to check it with a different gauge, screw it into where the original sending unit is, it could be loosing oil pressure and that maybe the clicking noise your hearing, lifters might be loosing prime, that would cause come of the problems your having, loss power, bad fuel milage.
I cleaned my idle air control valve a few days ago and it idled great and then this morning i drove to school and back then when I started the car to go to work the idle went back down to idling at 500 rpm should I replace the idle air control valve? And I am still going to check the injectors as soon as i get off from work.
I chased similar problems and it turned out to be a flakey ECM - but it would spastically set several error codes. Does yours show the service engine light with the ignition on but engine not running - want to know if the service engine light really lights. If not, the ECM might be hiding some problems which will help you troubleshoot it.
Also, check the injectors which should be about 12 ohms. Less than 6 ohms or so means the alcohol in your fuel has destroyed them.

My service engine light does show with the ignition on but I still have not checked the injectors but I will soon. I just haven't had any time. But how exactly do I check the injectors?
