People are idiots. The light was green for over 2 full seconds before I even went. There was an SUV to my left so I couldn't see this little Hyundai flying through the red light. Luckily there is no mechanical damage, but it looks like I need a new hood and bumper. Going to Ron's corvette restorations in Fitchburg MA I think. I'm so mad!
I hope the police get the Hyundai driver for everything they can. Running a red light, public endangerment, reckless driving and maybe speeding too are all potential charges that could be applied, at least where I am.
As far as I know she wasn't on her phone, she just said she was trying to make the light. Clearly she did not. Everyone is okay though luckily.
I don't think there is any mechanical damage, my left popup light looks like it may be a little out of whack though. It doesn't look like there's any structural damage, just a damaged bumper and some destroyed fiberglass on my hood.
I never even thought about the airbags, good thing they didn't deploy :phew:

The damage doesn't look to bad, although it will still be costly. Did the police show up, if so, make sure you get the report. I'm sure you got all of her info, contact your insurance company and let them know what happened. Bring it to a reputable body shop of your choice for repair. Good luck, hope everything works out for you.
That sucks!!!! Yes it could have been much worse but it still shouldn't have happened in the first place. Hoping she has good insurance and that you and your car come out okay in the end.

Sad to see that happen. Back in the day someone backed out of a driveway into the left front fender of my 65 vert. It looked a lot like yours does. I kinda had fun with it on cruise night by replying to all the "What happened to your car?" questions. My reply was, "Termites!"
I immediately called her insurance company, filed a claim, and got an appraisal within an hour. The guy who did the appraisal has a Corvette too! And he recommended me to a shop in Fitchburg called Ron's restorations, they restore Corvettes exclusively so I think I'm in good hands
My front bumper has always been a little bit off because I think my car was in an accident before I got it. My paint is also getting some chips in it, so I actually think this may be a blessing in disguise. Hopefully the car looks even better when it's done.
I know my wheels are backwards, everyone keeps telling me that! My excuse is they cool the brakes when they're facing that way
