Agreed. Some info is just plain wrong. Of course the fsm is so difficult to navigate and is missing info sometimes I hardly use it also. Trial and error and lookung at a problem broken down to its simplest form has worked the least bad for me. figuring out the problem has always been annoying on my C 4. All my other vehicles or 10 * easier to work on
...literally...it is in the G.D. trash after **cking me this weekend multiple time. Get an FSM if you don't have one
The Haynes manual is exceptionally frustrating if it's a 92-96 that you're using it for. It's one of those books that if you don't have the FSM, it can point you in the direction but it won't take you there. I've found it helpful a few times in this sense. But essentially, all it is, is a book by shade tree mechanics for shade tree mechanics.

What he said. Has it use but can get you in a peck of trouble.
I suggest you leave bread crumbs...to find your way back when using the FSM. OR, do as I have and use sticky notes as book markers to ID info and mark the spots in the manuals where I found it. I have LOTS of sticky notes in mine!
I believe a GOOD re-write is in order for the FSMs; augmented by model years.
Not many jobs I would want to tackle with just the Haynes but it does come in handy sometimes. There are times I understand something better with a picture or a write up from the Haynes that I just didn't really get from the FSM. I'm not as savvy as many here and there are times when the FSM is just over my head and I'm totally lost. The Haynes isn't my go to book but does help on some jobs.
