Default 85 Vette Question

I would like to change the steering fluid in my 85 vette as I am not sure if it has been ever changed, but I do not know how to drain the steering fluid? How is this done and what type of steering fluid should I use?
Thanks for your help and assistance

I'd just drain the reservoir and refill a couple times if you really want to do it. Never seen it as a necessary or recommended service though.

It's probably beneficial for the steering rack .20 years ago a friend flushed mine for me at his fathers garage. From what I remember it was a kit that was a gallon jug that attached to one side of the steering rack, you started the car and turned the wheel back an forth until clean fluid came out the other side. I remember the old fluid looking very metallic. I still have the original rack in with no problems.
