1991 Speedometer display

Default 1991 Speedometer display
My display is hard to read these days. It lights up amber fine but the black numbers are dim and hard to read. How do you fix the display?

Do a search on polarization in C4 Tech and General.
The majority of the problems are with the 84-89 Digital Dash LCD's. One of thee threads below is about a problem for a 95 LCD.
