Cranking issues
I have a 1986 C4 and having a problem.
Is there any reason this car would not crank if on jack stands?
Problem- car was running fine until I put it up on jack stands to do complete break job, break job complete and noticed oil leak so decided to crank car while on stands but it would not crank. Turned ignition to on position and radio came on but no instruments, turned key to crank position, starter ingaged, all instrument lights came on and the car actually started for the brief second that I had key in start position. Immediately on releasing the key all light go out and engine does not stay running.
