I have had my 93 for about 16 months. Other than oil change and spark plugs and wires, (Tune up was my option to do it, not that it was needed, but plugs and wires were original at 28000 miles. Other than brake service and upgrade to 13 inch rotors and J55 calipers, everything else is stock and running well. That is really pretty good considering it is 20 years old.

As far as factory reliability issues, the C4's were and are solid cars.
Now, given that they are getting on twenty to thirty years old, stuff wears out or dies of old age and needs to be replaced. Just the nature of the beast.
