How do I know if I have tire pressure sensors in the wheels other than removeing the tires from rims? I know it was an option that year. The low pressure light on the message center does not light up when I put the key in. I have several cracked valve stems I want to replace, I would rather not put sensors in if I dont have to. Thanks in advance.

For starters does the Service Option Label on the console door say that the car has the option? The option is UJ6. If it does show the option and with the key/on is there a "bulb check" displayed for them. Not with the key/in but key/on rotating towards crank?
If the option isn't on the label no worries. If the option is there just ask the tire guy to be careful BUT they're NOT stem type sensors like later model cars. Your wheels have just standard valve stems regardless of the option or not!
