Trying to get a few little issues straightened out on my 94 vert and noticed the A/C vent covers in the middle and left side were kind of dangling a bit on one side. Went to take them off and the little plastic studs the screws went into just basically disintegrated. Any ideas on what to do here? There is nothing left to screw the attaching screws back into to anchor the covers.
I've patched the vent covers back to gether with some gorilla glue. Maybe it will work, maybe not. Replacing the vent covers isn't that big of a deal if it comes down to it but the screws anchor to plastic studs in the dash that have come apart. Not really interested in ripping out the dash if I can avoid it. I went to Home Depot and got quarter inch longer screws and found some 3/8" by 1" nylon spacers. I'm going to try to trim the spacers to the same length as the studs, glue them down and run the screws through them. Hope it works!

fill the area up with epoxy and smooth off the front, then when it hardens drill a small hole to run the screw into.. Ruffing up the plastic with a file or sandpaper also gives the epoxy something to grab onto......WW
