I put non-EMT tires on my '96 last fall and love the "New Ride". My car has the spare tire delete option which doesn't bother me but makes my wife very uncomfortable. As a compromise, I decided to get a can of "Fix a Flat" but realized it doesn't work with Z-rated tires--at least the ones that I've found so far. I've tried all the Corvette part companies and haven't had any luck (could be using the wrong key words???). Can any suggest a product/solution? Cruising without my wife isn't an option (I could already hear that solution--lol) and I don't want to buy a new set of EMT's--Thanks!!!

AAA card, cell phone, a tire plug kit and a 12V air compressor work too. When was the last time you actually had a flat tire and how often to you ever see someone along the road with one?

If you go this route with the plug kit. Don't forget a flashlight, a garbage bag to lie on and a pair of wire cutters to cut the plug.

to a point. I just got back from a 500+ run from NC and even my wife remarked about how many people were pulled over with flat tires. There is so much construction going on along Interstates 85 and 95 that it must be a problem.
Just make sure to get sensor safe fix-a-flat or green slime. They aren't for z-rated tires, because you shouldn't be doing 190mph with a hole in your tire. Fix-a-flat will be just fine for the drive to a tire shop or to complete your road trip. I keep a can of fix-a-flat and mini compressor in my car (make sure to test it before going on a road trip). I ditched the run-flats long ago and also have the spare tire delete option. I also have towing with my insurance incase of a catastrophic blowout (well actually because I have two old cars with 100K+ miles on them).
