Carpet protection.
Since my carpet is in flawless condition and I'd like to keep it that way, I was looking for a way to protect the cargo area with not just one of those expensive cargo mats sold on the catalogues; but something that could eventually contain a spill.
I found these boot trays at Walmart that were exactly the size needed to fit in the cargo area, two of them in a row fit perfectly either transversal or longitudinaly. I found a closely matching set of towels that I threw on top just to cover the black; but I have since found a perfect matching Ruby red bath mat that is just about the right size to cover both trays and excelent color match.
As far as the front carpet set, I bought a set of carpet boots of a CF member and they had already been painted red. I did not want to go through the hasle of painting and not getting a good match, and since I had found the good matching bath mats, I covered them with these.
I still have the floor mat on top and it fits perfect. I have no noticeable loss of room.
I know that the carpet boot idea might not be for everyone's liking; but I though that the boot trays in the back could help someone who uses the car as a daily driver and eventually has to stp at the supermarket to get eggs or milk...

Nice work Speedy! You certainly have multiple layers of protection there. The only other thing you could add is some carpet protection film, which really keeps things spill proof and you can just add/remove a layer whenever you want. You can also put some on your exterior if you take it to the track:
