1990 Instrument Cluster
OK, don't beat me up. I've been looking for hours....
My instrument cluster is dim at night both for speedo and the right side only.
The left side (RPM) is great.
Questions:
Is there more than one ground?
Are there several bulbs? Are they in pairs?
I'll have to pull it out but just wondering in advance.
The control rheostat works fine but the center and right side won't go full bright.

To answer there are many bulds in the instrument cluster. Your main problem finding someone that still sell the type you will need. I think there 16 bulds total.

When I had the cluster out I removed the aggravating bulbs that had a mind of their own, 1-4 shift, change oil & shift.

Wow! 16? When I had to buy two little teeny halogens for my Tbird they were $10 each? Say they are not halogens....

No halogen - very economical!
Total count 20 - PC161 bulb. This is from an M6 cluster with the full complement of back-lites and warning lights.

It looks like there's some quite aggressive pricing available if you do muti-packs of these. It looks like they can be done in multi-packs for something less than or close to 1.00 I like local buys so I'd probably shop pretty hard locally.

Thanks for filling in the gaps.
