Looks like the mold for a hood under side.. Not a stock one though.

Looks like mounting points for suspension pieces. May not even be for a Corvette.

Hood liner for a first gen? I take that back, not a hood liner. Post it up in the first gen section and see if they recognize it.

Sure looks to me like the inside structure of a C4 hood. Typically it's painted black, but guys with race cars would often paint them white for better engine visibility with the hood up, easier spotting of fluid leaks spraying on the underside of the hood, sponsor decals that get placed there, etc. The next challenge will be figuring out what year it's for.

You can look at the shape of mine in this photo and reach your own conclusions...

I think it's a mold, too.

Allright, the guys at the C1/C2 forum could help me out.

It seems to be a mold for a tail section.

somewhere between '53 and '58 just have to find the exact year now!

Thanks everyone!

its not a mold - doesn't have the structural integrity for molding fiberglass. also, it doesn't appear to be any 1st generation body part either. it does however have some resemblance to the underside of a c4 hood, but it's definitely not stock. can't say what you have, but whatever, it's probably some aftermarket thing - maybe used for racing competition - ???

that is no tail section. it looks to be a custom C4 hood underside mold or a peel off from for a C4 hood underside that was customized. if you look closely, you can see the mounting points for the lights and the striker bolts. the front section of the mold looks as if the underside mold is for a custom body kit that goes on a C4. perhaps a C1 conversion on a C4.

Ok, so i got something like 5 options of what it could be now! :-)

But is guess its resonably certain not a stock part, so its only worth something to the right guy :-)

If anyone is interested in this let me know! Cause i don't think its gonna bring me any money when i ship it to europe.

Again, thanks a lot everybody!

I must know what it is. Looks like some kind of plastic conversion part for a first gen nomad or something

Ahhhhh, I'm confused

It looks like it was for a customized headlight setup (the "slots" in the front).

It's definitely not a mold. A mold would have a lot of bracing so that it would hold its shape.

Does anyone have a idea if this has any value?
Or does anyone know somebody who could use this?

Thanks again!

Set it beside the road with a big F R E E sign on it. You won't have to worry about it any more.
