When putting on the left directional, the light stays solid, but when doing the right directional it flashes correctly. Is this normally a fuse or flasher problem? And, where is the flasher thingie located if that's what the problem most likely is ? Don't mind my ramblings...woot, hit 100 posts!
ok, one more silly question, will this make the diplay in the dash also stay as a solid non blinking light? (as you can tell, I am mechanically ignorant)
....You need to check the reservoir, you probably ran out of Blinker Fluid on that side, just fill it up and you'll be ok..............Discount Auto has it, my wife got some after the mechanic told her she needed some!!........  J/K
But seriously folks. The Vette is designed so that when a bulb goes out, the blinker stays solid. Bulbs are cheap. So, when you replace one, just replace them all. That way you don't have to keep doing it every month or so. Its cheap easy and lets you drive for years between bulb changing episodes.
Had the same problem in my old firebird. It wasn't the bulb it was actually the little bulb holder itself, just got a new on from the junk yard and installed it myself. It's fairly easy. So if it isn't the bulb try the bulb holder. Mine got really hot that is how I knew it was bad BTW.
