I made the mistake of doing some touch-up painting on a piece in my garage while the 'vette was still inside. Now I have a section of my hood that has very tiny flecks of white paint on them (epoxy - rattle can). :cry
The good news is that the car is well waxed, so the paint isn't sticking. I can use my fingernail on the hood when wet, and the flakes come off. It doesn't come off when I use dawn dishwashing detergent and a towel though. Is there a better way to get the paint off than using my fingernail? :(
This is going to sound crazy but, soak a clean towel in mineral spirits / pure gum spirits of turpentine and s-l-o-w-l-y wipe over the paint spots. I've had similar problems and one of my relatives (a long time body man) said that this is the secret that's used by most of the shops to remove spots of over spray. Loads of luck.

I used a clay bar on some yellow road stripe paint which had been dried on my C4 for god only knows how many years before I adopted it. :D Took it right off! :) ~Juliet

Don
Do what I did and use yer gf's fingernail while u go out 4 a beer. LOL j/k. She'd kick my azz if she saw me make that comment cuz she's the one that does the touch up to the paint. :p: :boxing
A clay bar should do the trick. One of the best products I've come across in years. :yesnod:
:yesnod: It's worth a try! (and i would expect it to work). If it does...fantastic!! If it doesn't...you're only out the cost of the clay...and you should try that stuff before your next wax ANYway! :D
