Default Dated Windshield Supplier?

Anyone know if there are any vendors out there offering NCRS-correct dated glass for C4 windshields for 1987 convertibles? Damn rock in the construction zone. I ducked, but it still hit the windshield real hard. Right in the line of sight. Now it's starting to crack. A few more DC potholes and it'll be really bad. :smash:

uh, I doubt it...

there is not a lot of call for dated parts on the C4's yet.

perhaps in another 10 years, sure... beyond going back to the dealer...

To be honest, I don't even think that the NCRS has established the rules for C4s yet.

They're actively working on the documentation now. Infact, the Mechanical section for 84-86 is currently in review. :) And there's going to be some practice C4 judging by the C4 team at some upcoming Regionals this fall. :yesnod:

I'm pissed about the damn rock. :mad

I can keep it from spreading worse and cracking more (I still need to get that epoxy at Pep Boys). Problem is that it's right in the driver's line of sight. Perfect nose level, centered and all. I literally ducked when I saw the rock coming towards me. So it's really damn annoying & distracting.

You're done. If you want it done right you'll need to have a professional windshield place repair or replace the windshield. I'd replace it if it is in the driver view.

The kits from Pep Boys or any other parts place yellow and do not fill the chip as well.

We do crack repair up to 25 inches, but I never suggest it when it is in the driver view. The closest thing to a factory replacement is an OEM or OE windshield.

Just suck it up and relpace it. :D
