Targa squeek answer?

I was thinking about it the other day - has anyone tried to use adhesive backed Teflon/PTFE tape on the targa mating surfaces to see if it will cure the creak/squeak issues?

I'm going to call tomorrow to see about getting some to try it out - unless other have tried with no positive results.

Try O-rings on the pins.

On which pins? I have all the seals and conical mounting surfaces lubed with GM silicone grease. It appears that the creaking is from the other contact areas, hence my idea.

Mine squeaked until I LOOSENED the front bolts a little.

I have no idea why that fixed it, but it did.
